Remote ops reference

Optional cloud monitoring and remote operations integration overview.

Note: PurePoint Smart is a guestroom RCU and smart panel hardware manufacturer. Remote cloud management is an optional add-on — not included with standard hardware delivery. Primary integration is via developer API and engineering documentation.

Some integrators build or adopt third-party cloud platforms to aggregate multi-property device registers, remote diagnostics and reporting. PurePoint hardware supports local scene execution and optional cloud connectivity — a cloud UI is not required when purchasing RCU and panels.

Capabilities for integrators

  • Multi-project view

Integrators can develop or choose third-party platforms to aggregate device registers across hotels/buildings (optional).

  • Device online status

RCU, gateway and module online rates and comms status — hardware-layer diagnostics, not PMS room status.

  • Remote debugging

Remotely trigger scene tests and adjust parameters to reduce site visits (project-enabled, not default).

  • Data interfaces

Energy, alerts and other data exported via API for customer BI or ops systems.

UI preview (third-party / optional)

Sample ops UI that may appear in integration projects — not a required PurePoint Smart purchase; actual features depend on contract and deployment version.

Core features

  • Device register

RCU, panel, gateway and sensor models and firmware versions — for batch config and spare-part replacement.

  • Dry-contact status

DND, MUR, SOS and other door-sign/sensor hardware status (requires host parsing — not PurePoint PMS).

  • Scene policies

Welcome, vacant, energy-saving templates; batch deploy and scheduled execution by season and room type.

  • Energy management

Sub-metering by room/public area, YoY/MoM analysis, over-threshold alerts and energy reports.

  • Alert ops

Offline, comms and load alert rules; ticket workflow, handling records and closure stats.

  • Permissions & audit

Multi-role access (HQ/property/engineering); operation logs for group internal control.

Deployment options

Public cloud SaaS

Out-of-the-box, subscription by project/room scale — suited to mid-size hotels and fast rollout.

  • Auto upgrades and ops
  • HTTPS secure access
  • Elastic scaling

Private deployment

Deploy in customer datacenter or chosen cloud — full data control for large groups.

  • Intranet access and AD integration
  • Custom reports and workflows
  • Dedicated technical support

Hybrid architecture

Edge gateway local loop + cloud aggregation — balances latency and centralized management.

  • Offline resume upload
  • Reliable local scene execution
  • HQ unified dashboard

Remote ops (optional)

Web ops console for some projects — visual debugging and reports — not the default deliverable when purchasing hardware.

Developer API (primary)

FAQ

How do cloud platform and RCU/gateway relate?

Guestroom devices connect via RCU/gateway; the gateway handles local scene execution and offline resilience (core PurePoint hardware capability). Remote cloud is an optional centralized monitor — chosen by integrators or customers, not required with panel purchase.

Does it integrate with PMS?

Hardware layer provides RS485/dry contacts/API; PMS sync is implemented by integrators at the protocol layer. PurePoint Smart provides field-mapping consulting and developer docs.

Must I buy cloud when buying hardware?

No. PurePoint Smart primary products are RCU, panels and modules. Cloud / remote ops is a project option — see contract and BOM.

Is mobile access available?

If optional ops is enabled for a project, responsive Web or companion App may be provided — deployed by integrators, not standard with hardware.

Is platform free during warranty?

If remote ops is included in an engineering project, terms follow the contract. Hardware warranty and software services are separate — ask sales.

Need hardware BOM or wiring manuals?

Integrators should use the product catalog and engineering docs daily; API and optional ops entries below.
