RS485 bus guestroom control

RS485 guestroom control — per-room address maps, modules and glass touch panels on one bus for chain standard stores.

  • 9600 Default baud bps
    19200 / 38400 negotiable
  • 01–0F Single-room address range
    main gateway at 01
  • 4-wire A/B/GND/shield
star or daisy from LV box
  • Open Modbus RTU / proprietary
    register map with BOM

* Address and baud are engineering examples; contract should attach 《Single-room RS485 address allocation table》 revision; no on-site address changes.

Engineering essentials · Four implementation rules

RS485 rework often from address conflicts and unset topology — points below go in construction brief and acceptance list.

① Address triple consistency

Module DIP, RCU programming table, and integrator upper mapping must match revision; address changes need change order and full-room retest.

② Control chain length

Recommend ≤15 devices per chain; long links need repeaters or sub-gateways; 120Ω termination per manual.

③ Mains/LV separation

RS485 parallel to 220V ≥30 cm; shield single-end ground; avoid VFD elevator and UPS raceways.

④ Fault segment isolation

Single module fault must not lock whole floor — per-room address segments, floor gateways isolate; spares bound to address table.
